Exercising the right to vote is probably one of the most important things citizens can do, but going to the polls can be intimidating to young voters, so we built voting houses… in Minecraft.
Collaborating with Rock the Vote, we created Build the Vote so that the voters of tomorrow can experience the voting process for themselves.
Inside this whole custom world built right within the popular videogame Minecraft, teens, kids (and adults) can vote, but not for a specific candidate; they’ll be voting on ten of the most important issues driving the current political conversation. Results will then be shared to highlight what the next generation of voters have at heart (we know, it’s not fair, but your vote won’t count if you’re 18 or older).
You and the future voters you know should go check out the Build the Vote voting houses that are now live in Minecraft until October 30.
